I grew up going to Osterville for the summer. Dennis, Brewster, and Craigsville also come to mind for places to consider. A friend had a house in Falmouth and it’s close to Boston, but I didn’t spend any time in the town - just at her house.

Go to the Vineyard. CC is meh and shark filled. The Vineyard is so much better and a straight shot (and then a ferry) from Boston.
