Light grocery shopping: before or after?

Pack non perishable from home. Order pick up of perishables at whatever store is closest to your hotel.

I almost always shop at home and take it with us. For me, it’s easier to buy ahead of time and set it aside in a reusable bag. It’s not an extra trip to an unfamiliar store, it’s just throwing the extras in your cart on your regular shopping trip. I let the rest of the family (teens) know it’s for the trip and not to eat it. Same with the perishables, except in a plastic bag in the fridge.

I’d rather not visit the grocery store or mess with an online order on vacation. You could also order ahead to be delivered to your destination.

Agreed. Unless you like shopping at the Trump store and eating nothing but fast food and fudge.
