What exactly are the California protests about?

Exactly. And Karen Bass gets to make use of her Communist Cuban training. She even learned how to make bombs.

Democrats agitating to get power back.
When will Dems learn that supporting (or enabling) illegal immigration is a loser at the National level. Are they really going to do this again after the Kamala disaster ?

We will have a Trump dynasty if they don’t change their tune on this.

The Democrat Party of Death and Destruction keeps sinking itself.

The dems have not, nor ever supported illegal immigration. Please stop with the lying.

The dems do want an orderly process to comply with international law and human rights concerns. But the GOP continues to want this as a wedge issue, so opposed funding for scanners at the borders for drugs and for more administrative judges to hear cases faster. I wonder why.

You stop lying. We all know what happened under Biden, the boarder was wide open for 4 years. You could see thousands of them making their way through Mexico on TV to waltz right in. Biden and Kamala did nothing, even after Dem mayors “cried uncle”, even they couldn’t take it.

I don’t like Trump, but magically this has all stopped. He made a few calls to Mexico, etc. and said turn these people back, or else. That’s all it took, why couldn’t Biden/Kamala do that ? Because they didn’t want to.

There was no "Kamala disaster" you two-bit knucklehead. There was a Biden disaster that led to a second Trump term disaster. Leave Kamala out of it. She didn't put herself in the can't-win position she was in. Biden did.

There are people going about their daily business, sending their kids to schools, going shopping, etc, and ICE raids are disrupting their lives and they are getting fed up with it. Somehow, Obama and Biden were able to deport millions upon millions of people without sending storm troopers to otherwise normal areas, to be disruptive. Add to it that agitators are always happy to use peaceful protests to cause trouble.

Do foreign nationals even understand the nuance between states and federal governments? I doubt they understand the anti-commandeering law and why California is refusing to help the feds, so they are getting a more forceful version than what foreign nationals are doing in other states like Texas that are working with the feds.

Do you have some evidence that foreign nationals comprehend our sophisticated form of government?

Another Dem thing that Trump has destroyed them on. It's totally going to back fire on Dems as a small minority of far left support undocumented immigrant voting, rights etc

Why are you so sure that these are all “Democrats”? While it’s tempting to believe that everything is either MAGA or Democrat — just because you may identify others as “Democrats” for your own reasons, doing so misses a lot of important nuances. People who identify with traditional conservative values may also have pro-immigration and pro human rights stances, and be very much against using the military and ICE in the ways that this administration is choosing to do. People who genuinely value state’s rights may be genuinely horrified by what this administration is doing to overstep even the most basic of boundaries.

Many people who did not vote in the last elections, and who may not identify with or value the stances of either political party may still value the Constitution and the ideals of the United States enough to actively protest the inappropriate, immoral, and ultimately illegal behavior of ICE — particularly when ICE agents without clearly recognizable uniforms or missions are acting way beyond the boundaries that should legally both inform and constrain their interventions.

I think people are objecting to multiple misuse and flagrant abuses of power by militarized agents as well as actual military forces, as well as the cruelty and callousness that seems to be driving these interventions. Every day there’s something more to protest — from flagrant abuses of power in ways that, ultimately, impact every American citizen, to interventions clearly not supporting state’s rights, to interventions that fly in the face of traditional American values, ideals, and Constitutional rights.

She was the boarder czar, she owned it. And the American people passed judgment on her performance.

Stop equating anything Biden did with Democrats. Biden is not the face of the Dem party. He was a mistake. Equating everything Biden did with the wishes of Democrats is as ridiculous as equating everything Trump does with Republicans. We all know that the last thing normal Republicans want is for Trump to be considered the face of their party one day beyond when his term ends in 2029. They can't wait to get rid of Trump as bad as we couldn't wait to get rid of Biden.

When we're done with this Trump garbage second term, let's all agree to never be duped into electing 80 year old presidents ever again!!

They oppose the arrest and deportation of US citizens without due process. Trump has said he wants the governor of California arrested and imprisoned because he is a democrat. No crime committed, no charges presented, no hearing in a courtroom, etc. The Feds are not even bothering with identifying who they arrest. The people taken by ICE have not been allowed to contact anyone and lawyers hired by families are not given access.

Wait till they come for you or your kid.

These people you are talking to are the same people who were duped into electing Trump, Biden and then Trump again!. They're not the brightest. Do you really think they are going to understand nuances beyond the "us" vs "them" red vs blue silly talking points?

You can’t be serious. A sitting President is the de facto leader of their Party. And Biden wasn’t senile from day one.

Pretty much. The courts have failed to stop Trump, so now Democrats are sending street militias.
The Mexican government is out $8 billion in remittances this year, so they will also have an incentive to encourage these 'protests'.
Someone put those cement blocks in place.

Democrats sent them? 48% of Latinos voted for Trump. Now they are mad that he's doing exactly what he said he would.
