MAGA boycotting Walmart

I was thinking the same thing. Where would MAGA go shopping? IMO, it's just all talk. Walmart is cheaper than Target, but Dollar Tree store stuff is *really* bad crap, worse than Walmart.

Also, why are they against "no kings"? Are they wanting to go back to a monarchy or something?

Newsweek is not a credible source. They are an opinion rag.

The Independent is a conservative leaning news outlet.

? I'm an Independent, and don't think burning Waymos is a good thing, especially as it hurts the environment. It accomplishes nothing.

But, MAGA seem to want a king or despot. I mean, the other world leaders who want a military parade on their birthdays are dictators like Putin and Kim. Why do you want a leader like Putin or Kim?

Why?

Because they're getting the brunt of everyone's political frustrations when they haven't actually done anything differently from other retailers-- which is, they responded to what it seemed the market wanted.

I don't see anyone boycotting Bath and Bodyworks or IHG or any other brand that totally embraced pride. Or that pulled back on pride merch when they realized that there's a limited market for "tuck friendly" child swimsuits or Satan-inspired baby rompers.

But for some reason everyone focuses their ire on these brands. It's like they can't do anything right in the eyes of the public while all these other brands skate by.

Oh, I don't though. We agree that monarchs are bad. I don't know why you think otherwise but there appears to be a miscommunication.

Walmart shut down so many small businesses in rural areas people have little choice.

Yup. In many places Wal-Mart is the only place within many, many miles that a MAGA can go to shop.

Yes, which is why they cannot be boycotted in those areas.

This.
We’ve boycotted Walmart ever since we learned the wages are so low that employees need government assistance to survive.
We added Target a few months ago. And very little from Amazon.
It hasn’t been painful at all.

Most people living off minimum wage jobs don't make enough to survive. Why are you singling out Walmart and Target?

MAGAS and Walmart go together like salt and pepper. No way MAGAS can afford to boycott Walmart.

Add Costco. Reduce our support of Chinese slave labor.

Because it’s worth it to try and effect change no matter how incremental. Don’t let the perfect be the enemy of the good.

What change are you effecting exactly? All the manual labor that makes your day survivable are underpaid workers. Construction workers, grocery store workers, crop pickers, farmers, clothing assemblers, gas station attendants, manufacturing jobs..... you can't be that daft?
