UNC Chapel Hill posts Dean's list publicly?

This is not unique to UNC and thought most universities did this. Some you can opt out of being listed.

Let’s do away with academic recognition in colleges like some high schools have done so no one’s feelings get hurt 🙄.

My children's schools publish the Dean's list as well (one an OOS flagship and one private)

I'm guessing the OP's kid didn't make it and they are embarrassed. Should have majored in whatever the athletes study - much easier.

I don't know of a school that *doesn't* post these lists. Why shouldn't they honor those who did well?
