After the kids were out of the house (and through with college - lots of moving them and their stuff around while in college), I went from a Honda Odyssey to a Honda CRV. I like the reliability of a Honda, and being high up (will never go back to a sedan). No need for a third row without kids at home, and while it doesn't hold nearly the same amount as a minivan, I'm not moving as much stuff, and it works for me

2016 Ford Explorer.

The water pump went once. It was a costly repair but other than that, It's been super reliable. It drives like new and I would trust it if I had to drive across the country.

Love love love my new style (2024) Hyundai Santa Fe hybrid.

3 rows of seating if needed (99% of the time I leave the third row flat for cargo, but nice to have in a pinch).

Has enough fancy features to rival $90k counterparts, but I got the top model Santa Fe for under $50k. It feels luxurious and safe at the same time.

Gets 35 mpg without trying, if I play games with regenerative braking I can get 41-42.

10 year warranty on major components, 3 years on everything.

+1

What a fun little car
