Yeah, I don't think twice a week trash pick up happens anywhere in DC. Maybe the poster who says she isn't getting her trash picked up twice a week just never realized that it only gets picked up once a week!

I was down in Williamsburg over the weekend, and there were both community volunteers picking up trash and a work team from the local jail working to beautify the grounds. I was only down there for a weekend but it seems like there is a much more robust volunteer culture there. I have mixed feelings about the incarcerated individuals doing the work. But apparently that community does care about keeping their surroundings clean and orderly.
