| I scuba'd off the Reef and I had never scuba'd before. There is some sort of quick explanation they do and then they sent someone with me and I wasn't allowed to go below 12 feet or something. Just reach out to one of the dive companies like https://www.cairnspremierreefislandtours.com/cairns-diving-non-certified and they will talk you through it. |

If GBR is your grail go. Wavelength out of Port Douglas is good for snorkelers and knows some less trashed reefs. Look on Facebook. But once there you are not far from Fiji. Great ASTROLABE Reef is 10x better overall. Kokomo Resort. Expensive. Great service for divers and snorkelers. |
