Yup, that's the line that jumped out for me too.
Poor kid who is so confused and disadvantaged that they have a gun and was feeling such anxiety and sadness that they BROUGHT AN ACTUAL GUN TO SCHOOL.

I hope Metro PD is adept at "supporting the involved student and their family" in a way that actually holds people accountable for their actions.

So glad we are almost done with DCPS.

1. DCPS comms team are the worst or the worst

Parents need to know ASAP

2. Looking at stats - children in DC are more likely to be shot on the way to school than in the school; suburban schools will be shot in their school.

3. We don't know who the kid was and I'm glad DCPS is supporting them. They could be from a HHI family, someone who got kicked out of their fancy private; someone ignored by their family because they don't fit in or fit in two much?

I love that 0:13 thinks it's someone who is "so confused and disadvantaged".

BTW it very well could be a "poor, unfortunate soul" but we don't know that. And all kids from all backgrounds do stupid things with guns; can be suicidal; make mistakes; etc.
