Ozempic changes the skin

I wonder how are the other organs, the ones that we cannot see.

Thinness and appearance could be attributable to bad diets many overweight people have, so they’re seeing a skewed population to begin with.

Did you read the article? He didn’t see that with patients who dramatically lost weight other ways?

This has definitely been the case for me (I've been on Wegovy about 14 months). I've had virtually perfect skin all my life. Not anymore, and it is sagging like crazy.

Beats being obese will all of the attendant health problems and risks, though.

OMG he just wants his name out there so people will buy his stuff. Dude knows what headlines sell products. That article was an advertisement.

Just go a plastic surgeon and get the excess skin trimmed. You’ll look perfect once again. Congratulations on no longer being fat.

I've lost this much weight before. It did not effect my skin like this. At all.

I don’t know why people are so resistant to the point being made. I don’t know if it’s true but it’s a systemic drug so is likely to have some systemic effects. It’s suppressing something hormonal and hormones have a huge effect on your skin.
I know a research endocrinologist who works on these weight loss drugs so I’ll ask them next time I see them, but people shouldn’t take a prescription drug unless they need it for medical reasons. If you need it for medical reasons, the skin issues are probably a small price to pay.

Did he find that to be true for the past 10 years that Ozempic has been used or just recently?

Don’t care, it cured the acne I since I was 10 and my skin feels velvety and soft

I wonder about Ozempic in the water supply now?

There are a lot of people out there trying to pull a “gotcha” on people using GLP1 medication, often because it harms their bottom line or they can sell stuff to those on it.

Hopefully it keeps everyone thin. This land of obesity needs it.

Opposite for me. Been on for year and skin looks gorgeous. I look ten years younger.

Losing significant amounts of weight rapidly definitely affects the skin. My collegue has "ozempic pits", her words, not mine. She has loose, wrinkly and saggy skin at her armpits. So now we have: ozempic breath, ozempic gut, ozempic face and ozempic pits. Did I miss anything? At least they are skinny.

I have been on Wegovy for a year. I wonder about this too. I think a lot of things are better in my body -- for example inflammation is very much reduced; my dentist commented on it. But I also feel off -- like a lot is wrong. Hard to explain. I am very worried about the long-term effect on my GI system. But I'm doubting any of it is worse than the effects of my obesity, and generally speaking I feel a lot better without the excess weight.
