Petty haters can't do that

Too miserable about themselves to have room for positivity

Anyway, yeah, unfortunately DCU is not pulling its weight for what an MLS club should be for youth soccer in the DMV.

DCU can decline to take a kid and they can look elsewhere.

Or the kid may not even been on DCU’s radar.

Even the protected list is probably legally questionable

I think its the latter. These are players likely not on DCU radar which just goes to show that DCU isn't looking in the right places. I mean if they are good enough for Philly Union...

DMV is small
Where is dcu looking and not looking for academy quality players?

I don’t consider DMV small at all. It’s full of talent considering quite a few kids go elsewhere if they are not scouted by DCU or choose not to go there.

I think DCU does look everywhere (we’ve seen the scout at our MLSNext games) but I do think they are looking for certain type of players and families

So they are not looking in the right places but they're also looking everywhere?

But they also only choose from certain types of families?

Sounds like conspiracy theories running wild

Ah, there he is. The rabid DCU academy poster. Just raring’ for a fight for what is a pretty innocuous post.

We have a friend who was not on DCU radar but once another academy was interested in him, DCU called him out for tryouts.

I have heard this too. I think the academies are still required to let the “home” academy know when they are looking at a player in their geographic area.
