It's a nice leafy neighborhood with really nice large yards. Upper middle class. I thought for sure one of the first comments would be the dog's owner apologizing. Instead like half of the comments are attacking the homeowner for publicly posting this and telling him it's not a big deal. Caught me off guard. |
If this catches you off guard, you clearly don't frequent the pets forum. ![]() ![]() ![]() I've owned dogs (responsibly) for years. The last couple decades have been awful, and the Covid-era even worse. Too many people who don't know a thing about dog ownership not only own poorly-trained dogs, but thing they're owed special accommodations and attention. There really needs to be a dog-ownership licensing test, and mandatory liability and damage insurance. |
I've posted about this before, but the same thing happened to me when i posted the video of the dog pooping in my front yard too. I had video of the owner too, however, and despite the idiotic responses, the behavior stopped. I hope the same is true for your neighbor. |
Another dog owner who is Team Homeowner here.
OP, at least you now know who the unneighborly neighbors are. And that people who are upper middle class are more than capable of being rude. |
Not funny in any context. Jerk. |
I think people just like to hear themselves talk. We had a break-in a few years ago in our neighborhood, where someone entered a door from the backyard. At another home, someone saw a stranger in their backyard and when the neighbor asked the person what he was doing, he told her it f%^& off. She called the police, but also alerted fellow neighbors to the incident. When she responded to neighbors who asked what the person looked like, they subsequently called her a racist. Having already had one break-in and seeing a stranger in your own backyard who should not be there, I cannot for the life of me understand how that is OK. I also know these same neighbors would 100% have called the police in the same scenario and would have been even more vocal about it. |
I love dogs too. The fact that some upper middle class homeowners would go buy an expensive bird dog and just... let it out the front door each morning to go roam and poop anywhere in the neighborhood is insane to me. |
100 bucks they're new renters. |
Those stupid groups are sure obsessed with dog poop. And teenagers. I love it when they post an actual photo of the poop. Not the dog so much because, no one but them cares even a little bit. The idiot probably knows who owns the dog but he's rather post to the stupid group than go over and talk to his neighbor. He's hoping someone else will do it for him, or being publicly shamed will work. |
Rude dog owner enters the chat. |
+1 |
I bet all those people posting are the same people who lie about their dogs being "emotional support animals" so they can exploit ADA protections for disabled people and service dogs and bring their non service dog pets into places they don't belong like restaurants, airplanes and stores.
Be grateful that you now know who the entitled selfish people in your neighborhood are. |
I think we are part of the same fb group |
I doubt it -- the most egregious offender on our street owns the house. And every morning she lets her dog head into the neighbor's front yard to poop. She does then go overy and pick it up, but still. NO. BAD HOMEOWNER. |
Renters don't care about the neighborhood or their reputation. They actually tend to hate everyone they live around because they're jealous of homeowners, so trashy, passive-aggressive behavior like this is par for the course. And they have no shame because they're only there for 6 to 12 months max or before they're evicted for nonpayment. Corp-owned and out of town if not out of state small time slumlords don't give a damn who they rent to or how they behave as long as the rent checks clear. |
