Good school for a creative non-academic kid

What about a school like Warren Wilson College in NC or Paul Smith’s College in NY? Great places for creative outdoorsy kids looking for a more hands-on educational experience.

I’m a bit miffed at some of the suggestions here since OP described her child as “non-academic” and “not a student.” For example, Bard is a pretty intellectual and rigorous liberal arts college. Not sure it really makes sense for a student with this profile.

It might help if OP came back and provided a little more info about grades and what the student may be interested in studying or looking for in a college environment.

I like these, plus Ithaca! (As well as considering whether he wants to go to college! He might do great starting at community college.)

Seriously -- Skidmore, Bard, Northeastern???? It's like DCUM only computes certain schools for the word "creative."
