Is Gonzaga the only school that wears white suit jackets to graduation? Seems ver Great Gatsby

St Anselm’s does it as well. They’re Benedictine.

My DH’s Jesuit school in Jersey had caps and gowns.

There's literally one Jesuit high school in New Jersey (St. Peter's Prep) and they wear white at graduation.

I wore the white jacket for my high school and it was Xaverian brothers

What's the deal with the cigars? Always found that odd

Why don't you start a new thread about how sketch the cigars are on the photos you've stalked on Gonzaga IG?

The Midwest public high school my kids would have gone to if we hadn’t moved to DC does this too. I’m seeing a lot of fb graduation pictures, and it definitely strikes me as odd.

Lots of boys high schools, lots of jesuit high schools, lots of private high schools, some public high schools wear white jacket tuxedos to graduation. No, Gonzaga is not the only school.

For DC area, the list would be shorter to ask what boys HS does not wear white jackets.

I’ve seen multiple Facebook post with boys smoking cigars, post graduation.

I have seen both boys and girls with cigars post graduation at several school photos. This is not unique to boys or to Gonzaga. At all.

Loyola Blakefield in Baltimore does too.

It's a catholic school boy thing. 30 years ago, they had "smokers." Like events with cigar smoking I guess.

So many guys schools smoke cigars on their graduation..normally with their dad and friends.

They are 18 so legal and a fun way to celebrate! I did it 20 years ago with my dad and it was a fun memory.

This. What’s with the negative Gonzaga energy with these threads?
White jackets 😲 3 puffs of a stinking cigar 😨 so many Econ majors 😱
— all apparently only noticed, and criticized, at Gonzaga, according to the OPs.
