my vaginal/perineal itching went completely away with estrogen patches.
It can also be thrush/yeast overgrowth, but I suspect low estrogen. Options to address include estrogen cream, patches, or low-dose vaginal pills. |

My GYN said for periodic vaginal itching/irritation to use diaper cream for a few days and it should resolve. Could be something to try if you can't get in to see a dr about other options.
One of my arms gets weirdly itchy. Ive tried cortisone, even prescription Eucrisa, but what helps the most is daily cerave lotion. If a skip a day or two, the itching comes back. |
| My EARS are so itchy! |
|
Soooo itchy mine is random odd spots like my left arm pitt on the top of my breast its crazy because nothing is there ive also had itchy fingers and arms and one big toe. Just so random.
The night sweats for me are much worse than the itching though. 3-5 am im a wet rat. |
| That could be lichen sclerosis-it’s an autoimmune disorder that does require treatment (or scarring can occur) but it’s very responsive to treatment (though it’s lifelong so you will need to keep up with it. Ask your gyn! May require a biopsy or if the appearance and symptoms or super characteristics gyn may treat empirically (with ultra high dose topical steroids.) |
Yes! This has to be one of the strangest symptoms I have had or have heard of. It is very annoying. |
My ears turned so itchy all of a sudden and the skin is flaky and coming off. |
Wrong. Shut up on topics where you know almost nothing. |
Me too! Is this really a peri/menopause thing? |
| 44F here and do get some itchiness from time to time due to perimenopause. I have seen that it is better if I had some sexual activity or O otherwise it continues. Nothing serious though... |
| Yes - my boobs were so itchy. It was crazy. Getting an estrogen patch and moisturizing has helped. |

Glad to see I'm not the only one.
I don't want to alarm any of you, but sometimes it's not peri, but it's auto-immune disease. If it doesn't go away with the methods suggested by others, please insist on a check-up with common inflammation markers. This is especially true if you are naturally prone to skin issues and eczema. I have two autoimmune diseases and have had skin issues all my life, but with peri, it just makes everything worse. |
OMG 😱 mine are the same spots and wake up the same way. I can't believe we itch the same random places. |
| I’m in peri and my inner thighs have been really itchy, especially when wearing leggings or athletic pants. It’s awful. |
| That's a pretty serious condition called lichen sclerosis and needs to be taken seriously to prevent permanent scarring. |
