Keep in mind, trainers are mostly concerned with aesthetics and muscle growth. They just take a pretty basic test to be a certified trainer, they’re not health practitioners. The benefits of a weighted vest, especially for women, are to help build up bone strength and density which are helpful in combatting osteoporosis as you age.

Even the average meathead knows more about health and nutrition than the average MD.

Now specialists, like ortho surgeons, sports docs, etc. will know more than the average trainer when it comes to kinesiology etc. info, I'll give you that.

I just wear it during 1 walk a day, usually the longest walk with my dog at lunchtime.

I wear for hilly walks over lunch when I only have 30 min and can’t run, etc. I almost always wear it when walking my very slow dog. It feels kind of gimmicky, but I think it helps my posture on the slow walks?
