please do a google search on SL before, while it may be ok for some, others may not want to associate

Agreed.

Definitely look into this before putting your child in that position. For once, a good post.

I actually read the articles about SL. There was no mention of ANY previous incidents so please give the person that benefit of the doubt and just keep his name out off of these pages.

Original poster, try HP Elite first. If they like it, move to False 8.

False 8 is all about training professionals. If your child is not there mentally, it will not be fun.

This is actually great way at looking at both options.

“Money grab” is the most useless, overused feedback ever on this forum. And in general. Usually always a parent who thinks people should coach for free or who has infinite amount of time to coach or harass others into coaching their kids.

About as the bad as the parent who drops money on “branded” coaching, events, experiences, and having unrealistic expectations or thinking paying for their kids to do tons of training somehow entitles them to be on the best teams (even when they can’t perform in games).

They are businesses so yes, it cost money. No more of a money grab than Netflix or Costco. They provide a product that if found valuable, someone will pay. My vote is for HP, many kids have gone on to have very successful soccer careers such as college, pros, or just maximizing their soccer experience.

Pass on HP. Lots of shooting not much else. Not a lot of technical training. My Dd is a fwd so it helped but we could have done all the stuff for free at a park. Learned nothing.

What exactly is a clown that can articulate thoughts orally improving your kid that your kid can’t do on his own? The game is the best teacher

The nbc article brings up more than 1 or 2 instances of questionable behavior at best.
