What happened to trump stopping war(s) his first day back in office? Maybe trump is the one who is crazy. |
Trump "has concerns" about Putin.
Meanwhile, if Zelensky did 0.0001 percent of what Putin gets away with regularly, Trump would demand his head. |
Efff the immoral US-based funding of wars all over the globe so that some corporate ghouls can get obscenely wealthy. Good riddance to US hegemony. |
This is honestly confusing and oddly rational. All along I thought Putin had something other than the pee-pee tapes on Trump. Sanctions mean nothing. Putin has Xi and Jong. Trump got played. |
Because he's a deranged narcissist-seriously. Not to mention a sociopath. |
What happened to Trump's "they wouldn't even think about doing anything with me in office?" Clearly Putin has no respect for Trump and isn't concerned about whatever Trump might do. He sees Trump as a paper tiger. |
This is Trump telling Putin to deposit another billion in his account. Nothing more. |
Putin is having problems and the Chinese support is not as strong as it is depicted in the press. Russian banks are failing, Putin is killing bodyguards, generals plotting, arm manufacturers want more war, low oil prices, no results on the battlefield, etc. |
It reminds me of how Stalin trusted hitler and thought they had a deal. Turns out psychopathic paranoid dictators are not trustworthy partners! Stalin was so upset about the invasion of Russia that he hid in his bedroom and Molotov had to announce the war on Russian radio. I do actually believe that Trump is surprised and hurt. I also think Trump is a genuine pacifist, of sorts, who likes military shows of strength but doesn’t actually like war. The same way he faked bone spurs to get out of Vietnam, he will never understand why anyone would want to make war instead of make money. That is why he’s never understood why Ukraine won’t just surrender. As a man with no principals and no regard for democracy, it’s inconceivable or yo him to risk bodily harm for these things. |
he's MAGAs new Jesus....it's all good |
Ha, I had a similar take. Oddly hopeful. |
This. Trump thought the world would actually listen to him and he could stop supporting the world with America's money, goods, and people. This is how narcissists think. And it's spreading to every town in America. My friends and I are depressed not only because Trump believes this way but because people actually follow this way of thinking a a legitimate way to power. Its illogical and hinges on the idea that I deserve better aways without doing anything in return. Classic narcissist. |
Trump is a weak patsy getting played by Putin. It’s embarrassing.
Not sure why MAGA is putting up with this when they are so much about the manly man. Trump is not manly. |
Today’s Wall Street Journal contains an opinion piece from the editorial board that urges the Senate to take action on Russia. It’s clear they don’t think that Trump himself will do anything—despite his recent rhetoric—so they’re urging the Senate to act. Not holding my breath that anything will happen. I think we all know by now that the GOP has been effectively neutered by Trump and will not do their job in the house and senate.
Time for a GOP Senate Revolt on Sanctions Against Putin John Thune can move Lindsey Graham’s secondary sanctions bill and send a message to the White House and the Kremlin https://apple.news/AVngjEBbJQgu0lhUmzKzADQ “The good news is that the U.S. Senate still has some genuine realists when it comes to Russia. As GOP Sen. Lindsey Graham writes in a letter nearby, he has 82 co-sponsors on a bill that would hit countries that buy Russian oil and gas with tariff sanctions. Energy sales are Mr. Putin’s financial lifeline. President Biden refused to apply these so-called secondary sanctions, and Mr. Trump can’t make up his mind. If Mr. Trump signaled that he supports the Graham-Tom Cotton-Richard Blumenthal sanctions bill, it would sail through the Senate. Combined with the promise of more arms to Ukraine when the current supply runs out, these sanctions might change Mr. Putin’s calculations about the price of war. But GOP Senators can act whether or not Mr. Trump approves. They can vote on the sanctions bill, and force the President to face the hard reality of Mr. Putin’s ambitions that Mr. Trump would rather avoid.” |
