I think some of them are starting to realize this is career suicide, and the end is coming as fast as the 2026 midterms. They were horrified yesterday to hear “don’t f—- with Medicaid” from trumpet himself when that is the only other way to finance his silly Dome, gift-not-gift $$plane, and ineffective border wall. They feel sold out.

Republicans do not give a shit about the country or the people. They will do and say anything to preserve the party patronage and privilege network and their place in it. This is not a new development.

Just look at the South Sudan deportation thread on this very forum and you'll see repugnant MAGAs seriously claiming kidnapping people and sending them to be brutalized in a foreign prison is "fair" retribution for Democrats' daring to allow brown people to apply for asylum. This. And my fellow dems were too stupid to see it and were outplayed. We were too busy eating our own and holding dems to higher moral and competence standards. The most interesting part is the people supporting this can't afford to exist in the white christian authoritarian state and they will also find themselves in violation of all its laws and desires. Do you mean GOP politicians or voters? Most of the voters — middle and lower income — won’t be helped by the tax cuts.

+1 This is a relatively small issue but Biden’s IRS started a program for taxpayers to file directly with the IRS instead of spending money to pay TurboTax or H&R Block, and this is what the GOP has to say about it. Just absolutely bass ackwards.

Why filing taxes should require worlds of people paying $50-$150 to Intuit every year is beyond me. Definitely a win for corporate lobbying.

Seriously...the first time should have been the last and at that point everyone knew what he was even the slow learners. Which means they intentionally voted for hate and division.
