Dog standing behind and causing falls

The most awesome command I ever saw used with a dog is "Out of the kitchen" while pointing to the entrance to the kitchen. The dog knows upon that command to go to the threshold and stay there. That way they're not underfoot when moving heavy, hot dishes/pots.

Re-home the dog.

Re-home the dog before the femur fracture happens.

For me it’s the worst in the kitchen where he’s hoping to find a dropped bit of food and I’m trying to cook dinner. Is there any area where it’s the biggest concern for your mom? There may be opportunities for training to dog to stay out of her way.

Yup. The best is my cats, who make it a point to dash in front of me on the stairs, as if testing me. Lol
