Is this normal CFA protocol?

Anonymous
OP here. I have been assured that this is the course they want me on. I guess it just happened so quickly and before my HSG that it surprised me. Apparently, since my blood work was normal and I have a prior child, they think the HSG will be normal-but of course you never know. Instead of wasting this cycle, the idea was to go ahead and start the meds. I am still not going to do the iui at this point though until I see what happend with timed intercourse and the clomid.

Thank you ladies so much for all your help. You all are a wonderful resource. I guess I knew things would get hectic and agressive once I started down this path and it just went even faster than I had expected with no hand holding whatsoever!

I saw another doctor at CFA for two cycles and did have a couple of problems with one of the nurses messing up the info and giving me the wrong instructions (on dosage and when to start taking it). Every time you talk to the doctor, make sure you know what the possible next steps are. If something the nurse tells you to do sounds "funny", please check with the doctor first. Try to have one main nurse as a point of contact. This way she will know you better and will be less likely to mess up.

It is a good idea for you to have the phone numbers and email addresses for both the nurse and the doctor. I did exchange a lot of emails and phone calls (and even text messages) with them and at the time when the nurses's instructions did not seem correct, I left a message and asked the DOCTOR to call me back - before I started the meds (and I am so glad I did that).

You should talk to the doctor before you start the drugs. You should make sure there are no other steps to be taken before you start the Clomid.

Good luck.
