macaroni and cheese
fried catfish
my dad's homemade beef stew

Omg, you’re me! I was just coming here to say white rice and my mom made the best avakkai. I miss it. I have tried so many store bought avakkai and nothing comes close.

Matzo ball soup. I love the smell of it cooking, and could eat it every single day of my life without getting tired of it.

My mom is an excellent cook. I love her warm homemade soup with chicken and rice and vegetables topped with an egg.

I recently had surgery and my dad made this soup for me this time when I came home after a long hospital day; my parents stayed with me to help me out and make me food daily. it was so comforting.
