If you used Mounjaro or Ozempic for 15-20 pound weight loss - did your doctor prescribe?

Turns out I was in the obese range, had high cholesterol and high blood sugar, my insurance didn’t cover it, but may have if I pushed. However, I didn’t want to be on the record of taking this medication so I was fine with just doing compound. I bought it for very little and have probably spent $1800 total. I ended up losing a total of 40 pounds, feel better than I have in 20 years, I’m on an extremely low maintenance does And had almost no side effects. My dose never went above 3.5 which is super tiny – most people maxed out at 15.. I’m a 48yo mother of 2, 5’4” tall, highest weight was 190, started Tirzepatide at 175 lbs and am at 135 lbs. took 5 months to lose the weight. Worked out regularly, tracked calories and fiber and hydration. Go for it!!!

How at 5’4” 190 did you think you only needed to lose 15 lbs????

Why not happy? If it’s not working why bother?

It's not not working but not great either. Just lost a few pounds.

This medication doesn’t work for like 1/3 of people.

Also, you don’t know what’s in the compound stuff. If could be ground coffee for all you know.

I think we need more details. Are you at the highest dosage?
I am staying at the lowest compounded dose and losing so very slowly and...I'm really happy about that. I have gone a month only down .5 lbs. I don't think fast weight loss is the way to go, especially for those that this thread pertains to (15-20 lbs).

I started with Brello two weeks ago and have lost 7.5 lbs. Want to lose 17 more.
The injections are easy peasy and they use a quality pharmacy.
I thought I would be horribly nauseous but I'm not. Just not hungry.

Do you need doc approval? All sites so far have denied me based on BMI not high enough. Is Willow different?

Online sites don't verify. I think most people subtract a few inches and add a couple of lbs.

But I thought they were not allowed to sell anymore. That’s why I’m hesitant to join.

I believe the need to stop selling it on the 22nd of this month. If you order NOW you can probably still get a 6 month supply. I'd try Orderly meds or Goby meds.

You have to lie. I used an app to even change my photo so I look obese.

I think is pretty normal thinking these days. There are plenty of posters who claim they are 150’ pounds and 5’0 and don’t need to lose anything.

The PP said they were 175 when starting, not 190.

Yeah, I lied. I stated a weight about 20 pounds higher than I actually was. I didn't even alter my photo. I just took a pic in a way too small bra and panty set that was quite unflattering.

I did not lie for Willow. I stated my actual weight and height. I was and am at a healthy BMI, and am not going lower than a healthy BMI — just on the lower end. I want to lose 15 pounds to look better. Go ahead and flame away.

I lost 18 pounds using a small dose of compounded semaglutide from Noom. It helped me stop my stress/binge eating and fully cut out alcohol. I have stepped up my cardio and strength training routines and haven't felt this good in years. My joint pain has decreased significantly, and my energy has increased. It was a good choice for me.
