Beeb to both Germany and Spain before, but not those cities. Never to anywhere in Poland.

I would probably pick Berlin or Warsaw then- never been to Berlin but Warsaw is really nice for a couple days. Good food, great museums, super safe. Walking tour options in English.

Super safe is the best part for us.

Are any of these European cities really any more dangerous than, say, Cincinnati?

Warsaw is the opposite of dangerous. Law enforcement never stopped doing its job in Poland, compared to other EU countries.

The rate of gun ownership in Poland is a tiny percentage of what it is in the US. Amazing what happens when everyone isn’t toting guns around everywhere.

Of course, not! I never felt unsafe in any European city, probably because I don’t expect every other person to be carrying a gun!

Of the three cities that are options, I would probably pick Berlin or Warsaw given your timeframe. All three are wonderful cities to visit, but Madrid would be nicer in the spring.
