urgh. Why are the Swedes so good at this? |
OP here. I think Sweden is definitely a contender, but not a lock. Switzerland, France, and Italy may grab the jury votes. Personally, I enjoyed the Italy song, but seeing it live with subtitles, I was really impressed. Or, you could look at Erika Vikman/Finland...strong vocals, a rocket microphone in the air, what's not to to love? Lol. Also, Austria is getting a lot of hype with the opera singing guy, and Albania. So who knows what will happen? But for a clue look to who Ukraine gives their 12 points to...they've given it to the winner every year this decade (the year they won, they gave it to UK who came in second).
But please, don't do Hazel and Erika eating fondue again. That was a bit much. |
Rumors circulating that Celine Dion's private jet was spotted at the Basel airport today! Fingers crossed! |
AUSTRIA????!!!!!
Congratulations š¦š¹ |
Where are people watching this? Especially those who have been watching for years with their families? |
Itās on Peacock |
Austria- its COMING HOME!!!! |
Posting from England: I unapologetically voted for Estonia. That ridiculous song stuck with me āļø and is going to be my coffee break soundtrack on my iPhone for a while. Austria was a worthy winner: he has a terrific voice ! |
|
OP here...congrats to JJ and Austria! I'm also very happy for Teya (Who the Hell is Edgar? Austria 2023) as she was on the songwriting team for Nemo last year and the songwriting team for JJ this year. Plus, I'm impressed JJ hit that high note at the end of his performance after all of the winning craziness. True pro.
So as the Eurovision 2025 season closes, let's all rest up to prepare for next year in February 2026. ![]() |
Lucio Corsi is a brilliant musician and lyricist. This is not the venue for him. But just so songwriting wise - heās my choice. Israeli performance was beautiful. |
Iām the one whoās been watching this with family for years and now itās on Peacock. But when we started about a decade ago, we were able to see the finals on Logo, which was a cable channel that I think was owned by MTV, and my husband recalls it was also on BBC America. Itās only recently that weāre able to see the full week leading up to the finals here in the US, back when we first started this we would watch videos of it online after they were broadcast in Europe and only be able to see the finals on TV here. |
OP here...I enjoyed Lucio very much. His performance didn't have a lot of "bling" but that showcased his talent. And I liked having the subtitles because it gave more insight to the song. And the harmonica... ![]() |
Am I the only one who was surprised by Israel winning the popular vote?
JJ deserved to win, he has a voice like no other. Israelās entry was mediocre at best. It is also not high on the list of most streamed songs. Sad that this contest is overtaken by politics. Israelis song ran a lot of advertisements and spread info that fans can vote 20 times |
The vote was legit, but sure it's a Jewish conspiracy . . . you people never stop https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/ckg77pxj2mno "An independent compliance monitor reviews both jury and public vote data to ensure we have a valid result. Our voting partner Once has confirmed that a valid vote was recorded in all countries participating in this year's Grand Final and in the Rest of the World." |
