Wow she was born in '87? She has aged very poorly.

Whoa she looks ancient. She’s lying about her age. She was born mid 1970s.
She is the most unqualified candidate we’ve ever had for surgeon general.

He’s the best!! Soooo funny!

Did she drop out of residency or get kicked out?

So weird. Who does that?

Why finish residency when you can be an influencer and Trump administration official?

She and Peter Attia both finished Stanford Medical school then dropped out of residency.

Trump’s first Surgion General’s criticism gets even more pointed:

Many of my Republican colleagues champion “merit” - meeting basic standards for a job.
The Surgeon General MUST be a member of the USPHS Commissioned Corps. To serve as a physician in the Corps, you MUST hold an active medical license.

I -and every prior SG- was held to that standard.

If the administration lowers (or creates a back door around) those standards, and the Senate confirms Casey Means (who has let her license go inactive and didn't complete residency), they undermine every argument they've made about merit, standards, and opposing “DEI” shortcuts. 🤷🏽‍♂️

Adams might as well be shouting into the wind.

Hopefully he can call Senator Cassidy.

I have met Dr. Adams during his tenure as SG and he is a decent man who was very committed to his role. It’s unfortunate to see him mud wrestling with these pigs.

Why did not one senator ask Means if she has ever held a license to practice as a medical doctor? (I don't believe she has, but if she was in fact licensed at some point it would be simple to ask how long since she's been licensed.)

These hearings are pathetic though, since the candidates have always been coached to evade any substantive response.

I did appreciate Dr. Cassidy's persistent questioning, since based on her responses in the hearing it didn't sound like she planned to do much of anything in her job.
