Best vacation with teenage sons?

Thanks for all the great responses!

To the pp asking what they’re into - they’re active kids. Love adventures. They like the beach, but would get bored after a few days.

have you done London, Rome or Athens? My teen boys loved these places.

This! London all day every day, though I've done the others with my teen son as well, coincidentally and agree that they are good choices. Teen boys like cities best.

DP, my kids kind of hate walking around cities, they only want to do adventure type vacations. You know your own kids I guess.

My teen son loved Hilton Head and Deer Valley.

What about a multi-day rafting trip? there are some nice ones near Moab that you can combine with Arches and some canyoneering. If you use a local company, it is much cheaper than OARS.

Belize, Iceland and Southwest National Parks.

The most memorable trip we did with our kids was a 10 day trip to California along the Pacific Highway. We started in San Francisco, then drove to Carmel, then to Santa Barbara with a stop at the Hearst Castle and finally Los Angeles and Laguna Beach.
I would do it all over again in a heartbeat!

Carmel is basically heaven on earth! That was my favorite trip as well, absolutely loved it. We stopped in LA as well and did the Getty and the Broad, ate in Koreatown, went to the Santa Monica peer. San Francisco was amazing too. It was a lot of fun for everyone, but my teens' favorite trip was Barcelona and Madrid, by far: they loved the stores, the markets, thrifting, food, scenery and how dynamic everything was in Barcelona especially. I personally hated Barcelona and loved Madrid.

My teen boys loved Italy and Croatia.

Google the YouTube travel video of Sail Croatia with Brett and Claire. It’s on my travel wish list.

Or take a mainstream Mediterranean cruise.

Each day is a new adventure, so nobody will be bored.

We did something somewhat similar prior to pandemic, but went from SF to Yosemite for a few days, then SB and kayaked at Channeel Islands, then Disneyland. Was a fun trip with a little bit of everything!
