Carlson just said this on a small Michigan-based podcast. Is this a brand new shtick Carlson is playing or is he anti-Trump now too after helping Trump get re-elected and hanging out at Mar-a-Lago?

He also claimed president Zelenskyy was calling his Fox News bosses to get him fired. Then he said something about only realizing poor and middle class Americans were suffering when he saw white families around his summer residence in Maine suffering from the same things he long-witnessed and associated with quote "black culture" in DC. "No one got married, tons of drug use, all that black culture stuff."

Aside from getting it right about the GOP, he sounds like a mentally unwell retrograde bigot.

I'm confused I thought he was all excited that "daddy was home" MAGA are all flipping psychos.

He and Bannon are smart enough to know that when the economy tanks, everything associated with Trump and MAGA will be deeply toxic. So, they're trying to thread the needle to new positions while they still can.

Exactly the right term for him.

He's hunting companions and on the speaking circuit with every GOP grifter you can think of. Groomed by Bill Kristol. Neighbors with the Bush clan, best friends with Billy Bush. His old man was in Reagan and Poppy Bush's inner circle.

It's not a new schtick. It's the same old one, it's just that now it's conceivable that the Republican party is pretty much over so Carlson can trash them. If they shun him, so what. This is Carlson speaking the same language as Bannon - basically fascism with some light Nazism thrown in. People forget that a big part of fascism is the elevation of "das Volk," the people that make up the land. For Bannon and Carlson, it's mainly whites and elect minorities that are white enough.

Doesn't his son and his former producer who he treated like a second son both work for the Trump administration right now?

Tucker spent all of 2023 and 2024 helping Trump get re-elected.

Isn't his family loaded? Wasn't his mom the heir to Swanson frozen foods? How did he piss away a fortune?

And then something happened to make him feel betrayed by Trump. No surprise, to any of us who've seen Trump throw people around him under the bus. But I guess narcissists like Tucker think "oh, but it won't be ME"
