Haven't felt much.
However, I'm not a person with a lot of food noise. I eat when I'm hungry. I ate less yesterday but I just wasn't hungry.

Then why are you taking it?

Because I’m overweight.

If you eat when you are hungry, how are you overweight?

Do you have the regular syringes? I start next week and I was hoping for the pen. My doc ordered from LillyDirect or something like that. Only the syringes. I'm a bit nervous.

I gave my shot to myself Monday and it was nothing. Very easy.

It takes about 20 minutes before you feel full when eating. Probably eating too much when first hungry.

Remember fiber or you will regret it. Also remember protein so your hair doesn’t start falling out.

I’m taking two mav07 before bed.

I felt the same way but the needles are tiny and painless. The pens made me bruise and hurt a bit. They were also more expensive. The other advantage of the vials is that you can customize your dose.

Some research showed metformin may help

Taking magnesium before bed really helped. My only side effect was constipation.

It can take a few weeks or more, OP. The starting dose is low to introduce it to your system. Trust the process.

I'm so envious. My insurance stops covering it in July. I've been on it a year and it's life changing in ways I never would have thought. Not the least of which is being able to stop an antidepressant and all my bloodwork is now pristine.

The worst things at the beginning were serious fatigue and constipation. It shut off my extreme hunger almost immediately. My hunger was almost all day and quite painful. Which is why I had food noise. I was constantly thinking about how to stop the hunger that distracted me from regular life.

In terms of fatigue, if it bothers you, and your schedule allows, switch your shot days. My fatigue was worst the first couple of days so I took my shot on Friday so I could keep working well M-F.

I don't know how you eat now, but while everyone tells you to focus on protein, and that's true, don't forget the fiber! I ended up working with a registered dietitian because I had stalled out for a couple months, and she has me eat at least four grams of fiber with every meal and snack. Have constipation remedies on hand. MiraLAX is the easiest but you need to be consistent.

And I am a slow loser. I don't lose without exercise. The magic of the shot, to me, is it calms your hunger queues enough to really be able to sit and plan how to fuel your body the best. I feel like a normal person for the first time; with normal dieting challenges and normal dieting successes. So it still takes work and good habits to lose. But you will!

My only advice is to lie, OP, because there are a lot of nasty, nasty wenches in the world who will judge you.
