Will I regret a countertop microwave?

We built an appliance garage that sits on the countertop. The first level right in the counter is a coffee station and the microwave is on a shelf above it hidden behind a door that folds to the side towards a wall. We keep it open when we run the microwave so I am not worried about ventilation.

#1, I love my drawer microwave. I’ve had it for over eight years. No regrets. Mine is the standard size.

I believe there are some new built-in microwaves that have a smaller footprint like maybe 6 inches tall. That is something I would also consider. It’s a small footprint, but you can still microwave a plate of food where microwave a cooking dish.

Drawer microwave 100%

Or if you're doing a wall oven you could do a small speed oven above. But drawer microwave's are great for most uses.

I ditched the over the stove microwave and considered a drawer microwave. Then after reading some very bad reviews I ended up putting a countertop microwave in our pantry. Problem solved, it's inexpensive and hidden.
