Best gluten free bread to buy or bake

The GreenLite is our go to for baguette and sandwich bread. BUT, they moved it from the fresh bread to the frozen section. (We did get a loaf that had gone bad when they were selling fresh.)

Sweet Crimes on the hill has the best bakery bread in the area, IMO.

I was over by the Convention center the other day and wandered in to Seylou for tea. I had no idea that they sold a gluten free loaf. It is AMAZING. Even DH who doesn't have to be gluten free loved it.

It is tiny and expensive, and about the size and weight of a brick -- but still somehow moist and delicious w/o being at all sweet. It is like the old-school homemade hippie bread I ate growing up in the 70s. Paired w/Earth Balance spread it is absolutely heaven.

You slap hydrogenated oils on your bread?

I rarely eat dairy. And, yes, on occasion I do slap hydrogenated oils on my bread. And it tastes great.

trader joes white GF bread and GF plain bagels are the best easily obtainable option.

OP here. I bought their “almost everything” bagels over the weekend. They’re surprising good!

My favorite is the oat milk and honey bread which I bake weekly, but the crusty boule and the everyday sandwich bread are very good as well. She also has recipes for sourdough breads but I haven't tried those yet - don't know if I can keep up with a regular feeding schedule etc.

OP here. Thank you again for this recommendation! I made the oat milk and honey bread over the weekend and everyone loves it.

I like against the grain pitas, baguettes and rolls. Sandwich bread my go to is BFree. It’s an Irish brand they sell at Giant. The slices are bigger than most gf bread and hold up better in a sandwich.
