I’d go with Union Market, Eastern Market, or Dupont Circle, a beautiful if underrated neighborhood with cafes, famous bookstores, and beautiful Victorian era mansions. Dupont Circle is also walking distance to the boutiques and bistros on 14 th Street, Kalorama, and Adams Morgan. It’s also near Rock Creek Park.

Dupont Circle tends to have a slightly younger vibe over Eastern Market.

Navy Yard only if you like proximity to Nationals Park (baseball stadium) and the waterfront.
