Visiting a campus but no tours available

And I had a good laugh imagining my teen dying of embarrassment as I wander the student center asking for a your guide with a fifty in my hand 😂

As a parent I think it’s a great idea. My kid would absolutely want to disappear into the floor 😂

we just walked around while schools were in session. Went into lecture halls, while prof is teaching sat in the back, went into the dining halls, and even the dorms where a student let us in and showed his room. So people are very friendly. This was a better experience then a pre-determined tour.

If DD is interested we will go back at another time to do the formal tour. We did email the admissions office and they said DD should at least stop in, give them her email address and that sort of thing.

Be patient with that one. Once they get her email, whew....looking at you UChicago

Omg. Chicago is non stop with the mailers.

One of the strangest things at a college tour recently (Wake Forest):

"Grab a bottle of water for your tour. And under no circumstances can you use the restrooms in any building. There are students with classes in session and every building is in use."

So, you're giving us a bottle of water for a 75-90 min tour and forbidding us from using a bathroom? Also, are we all creepy all of a sudden?

There is no way someone said this.

We emailed a the admissions office when a tour was filled—they opened a spot for us! Didn’t expect that! Worth a try.
