Not at night sadly. |
| There is a lot of targeting of girls for sex-trafficking at Tysons. Seriously. |

Please expand on this and please explain to me like I am 5 how girls can get roped into this. I want to get educated. |
Apparently it is real, but I confess I still find it hard to believe it. We had a police officer come to do a presentation about how to recognize signs of sex trafficking/teens being sex trafficked or exploited. During the presentation a colleague brought up Tyson’s mall and I expressed my disbelief since I have not read or heard about any specific incident EVER! Apparently I don’t read enough or don’t read the right stuff, but I still find it hard to believe that if teen girls were regularly (or even rarely) being kidnapped for sex trafficking in Tysons mall, there wouldn’t be a big uproar in the main stream media, plus Facebook community groups, list servers, etc. I mean, my facebook community group posts the most random stuff and about EVERY helicopter flying around, more than one police car together, etc. Can you imagine if a MS or HS student from this area had beef kidnapped or disappeared and later on was found to have been trafficked? It sounds like urban myth. |
Fairfax County Public Schools (FCPS) produced the following educational video about teen sex trafficking, to educate parents of FCPS about the danger of teen sex trafficking in our county: https://www.fcps.edu/node/32026 It is titled: “Tricked: Inside the World of Teen Sex Trafficking.” Every parent needs to watch this video. |
| I regularly see what are obviously teen girls (both white and latina) who are prostituting at Tysons. Right out in the open, no attempt to hide it at all. |
Where? |
|
I remember the Asian prostitutes who hung out at the mall and the bar/night clubs surrounding the area. Is this still a thing. You'd see them lined up in rows at the bars and also in the malls lined up against the railings on the upper levels.
Lol I once went out on a few dates with a guy, one we were at the mall window shopping, getting a bite to eat, this was the last outing, as he had what can only be described as a very enthusiastic group of 4-6 Asian ladies acting as his cheering section... he wasn't a celebrity and they all knew his name. Very odd. Uh yuck. |
New person who wants to know where. Please be specific what area of the mall. |
I recently heard the exact same thing and I wonder if you’re the person who told me… Funny! |
|
The police are warning parents about sex-trafficking at Tysons Corner mall.
The county school system has the same warning in a video they produced, with an introduction by President Obama. The warnings are clear and serious. If you as a parent choose to keep ignoring the people in the know, i am not sure what to say at this point. |

This was from 2015
"Area residents who may think human trafficking is not a big problem in Fairfax County would be wrong.Offenders can be found almost anywhere that teens congregate: in malls, at parties and at most county high schools. In the U.S., Fairfax County ranks fifth in this trade, based on calls to a national hot line, said detective Bill Woolf last week at a public presentation at St. Barnabas’ Episcopal Church in Annandale. “It’s going on here right in front of our faces,” Woolf said." "It’s easy for traffickers to find prey. (After the program a representative said the elevator bay at Tysons Corner Mall is a notorious pickup point.) Traffickers scout the Web and learn about personal problems." |
Please know that they are not always kidnapped! They live at home and parents have no idea! The trafficers gain their trust, then rape them/gang rape them and video it. They say they'll release the tapes to their parents and so the girls are then forced into sex with others. |
