This is true if you take a VSIP payment - you can't work for the federal govt for 5 years without repaying the VSIP.

If you get RIF'd and receive a severance, there is no 5-year ban.

I weighed the same, however mine is the opposite.

RIF severance for me is 10 weeks

Taking DRP 2.0 would be 20 weeks

I’ll see if I can ride it out. I just don’t want to be in position where I’m competing with a bunch of people from my agency for the same
