Have him try Enterprise rental they do a good job training. One of the best training in sales in the country. If they aren’t good at sake Enterprise does try and find their skills and place them in other opportunities.

It’s not glamorous and they work weekends and possibly holidays but it’s a start.

Not long ago, my very bright son with ADHD and some other disabilities and I spent time discussing potential majors. We discussed and researched the type of jobs available for each type of degree. It really made us evaluate what sorts of jobs would be a good fit. When I read your post it just screams to me that your son did not pursue a major that will result in a successful career for him. It seems to me that your son may need to be retrained for a different career.

FWIW, my son selected a trade rather than a white collar career.

OP - as an adult you can talk to DS about the need to take his medication daily. Has he let his doctor prescribing his ADHD med about his short times on the job as perhaps time for an increase or a change of medication action? Had he thought of using his college placement services?

Also you might consider getting him some career skills testing and counseling? Also have him look at the local community college to see if there are any certificate or associate degree programs he might like to try taking a couple of classes in part-time before considering going full-time. Such a move would need to be in a job field in demand locally if you were to help with tuition or he was to take on debt.

You need to get him to get very honest with himself about what his weaknesses are. Because sure, one or two companies are awful, but ALL of them? No. Common denominator. He has to identify his weaknesses and figure out how to work around them.

What changed for you? The type of job? Just not sure what other types of jobs he’s going to be able to do?

What kind of sales is he doing? Maybe he can't do pharmaceutical sales, but could do car sales. Maybe he can't do car sales but could do real estate. Does he have a bachelor's degree? Maybe he could work in marketing or advertising?

What changed for me? Finding the right company, and maturing and getting very honest with myself about my limitations and figuring out how to work around them. I repeat back verbal instructions people give me. I write really simple things down on post-its and slap them on the docs I'm supposed to do something with (Okay, that one is pre-Covid - now I work from home), I check and re-check emailed instructions. I recognize when I feel overwhelmed and make a list of tasks, put them in priority order and then start. But these are specific to my job, how my brain works, my work and living environment, etc.
