I bet it was in the bathroom.

Did they confirm it was on school grounds?

It's horrible that admin wasn't able to cover this up. They will probably fire teachers who were not able to teach kids not to be violent. I don't recommend education as a serious profession.

Wow. Another day parents didn’t parent. Very sad.

Y'all don't get tired of giving MCPS a free pass for failing to do the basics?

It is the job of MCPS to educate children NOT raise children. People are TIRED of giving parents a free pass by blaming everyone else.

Correct but because there are parents who don't raise their kids and expect the schools to, its important to have more staffing and security to protect everyone. MCPS admin, Taylor and the BOE all need to be replaced. Taylor hasn't kept any of his promises and the BOE is the same old.

The newly elected BOE members, who unseated the incumbents promising voters meaningful change, have been a serious disappointment.

A knife and pepper spray were found on a 13yo student at Wootton yesterday too.
He shouldn’t have been in the school in the first place, plus the weapon.
MCPS has gotta do better to keep our kids safe .

Wootton staff should go public with their concerns to the media. It's the only way to get MCPS to pay attention.

Absolutely. But this was at another school. It’s systemic.

It is MCPS's job to keep kids safe while they're under their care. Cut the crap.

There's only so much they can do though.

Yes they can. They choose not to.

Thanks for all those who voted to take police out of schools. Terrible decision.
Bring the police back to the schools and anyone who brings a weapon to school, expelled.
Kids and teachers should feel safe in the schools!!
