Spouse is a fed. We have teens, which means that life does go on somewhat as normal in terms of activities. Kids still have school-related sports, scouts, etc. We are also dealing with aging parent issues, including one with the start of dementia.
Spouse's agency is/was offering VERA/VSIP. Spouse put in for this but was denied a couple days ago because their position was exempted though some co-workers were able to take it. I'm a fed, and yes, I'm keeping my regular life going because the alternative is just to let them have everything. Same thing with other fed members. Hanging out with my friends reminds me that I am not alone.
Don't give them more of yourself than they've already taken. |
