But there is no savings. Doge is costing us and will continue to do so as we have to repair our government. It is so incredibly inefficient, it’s actually mind-boggling.

It honestly feels like a group of middle school bullies did an “If I was President” presentation and it all somehow came to be.

DOGE has cost us MORE. The savings are fake. And the expense of repairing their damage hasn’t even been factored in yet.

Except the small detail that DOGE hasn’t actually saved anything. And will cost billions in the next years just in lawsuits.

You’re right that there was a desire for efficiency, but this farce— laying off the nuclear security folks, for example— will make all the good faith efforts harder then they otherwise would have been.

The problem is in the reporting. OP could take it at face value because The Hill is, unfortunately, reporting it that way.

If The Hill had used the headline “Bannon says with no evidence” or “Bannon makes strange claim” of if they just refused to print it, they would be giving appropriate context.

The NYT does this too, like Trump filed claim against x. The media gives legitimacy and value to claims like that, despite the felon pulling them out of his @ss.

Legacy media still does not know how to report on a malignant, narcissistic dictator.
