This with nicknames -

Bitsy, Coco

Men should have double barrel names in addition to a nickname-

- John Paul (JP/Johnny), John Michael III(Trip), William Robert (Bo)

I really hate when people push using family names. You know what names are in past generations of my family? Edna, Donald, Gertrude, Yetta, Hyman, Boris, etc. Some of these were great people, but their names are just names, and some names should be retired. No little baby Hymans will be had.

Not everyone’s family is full of horrible names though.

Cecilia
Camilla
Beatrice

Otto
Archie
Montgomery or Desmond nn Monty

Btw this is not my style at all but I think of those as “posh” names. Also, as a Pp said you can always do a classic name w a kind of ridiculous sounding nickname like Elizabeth nn Zibby or Bizzy or Charles nn Chappy or Chase.

Classic names are the safe bet. Trendy, unusual names come and go with the times, but a name like Catherine or John have staying power.
