This Trump quote on Maine

But she hasn’t apologized. She’s not spineless yet. I hope she responds with an anti-apology.

Lots of people will be absolutely delighted with this. And not just MAGA. Anyone across the county who feels Democrats are the party of elitists that demand total belief compliance from everyone. The people who think the Democrats stopped listening to voters. The people who resent Democrats telling them that they have to accept their entire orthodoxy or they are bad people.

You don’t understand it because you are a DCUM Democrat, almost certainly UMC or wealthy, almost certainly a woman, probably white. You are one of the people that everyone else resents because you’ve attempted to shove a belief system you think makes you the best person, better than others, down everyone else’s throats.

Just FWIW, I do not support Trump’s behavior here at all. But the hermetically sealed echo chamber that convinces themselves that everyone agrees with you is wrong here.

Trump is a generationally clever politician. He’s picked an issue where wealthy white Democrat elites are on the opposite side of the rest of nearly the whole country, and he’s using it as a way of demonstrating that the Democratic Party doesn’t listen to its voters, is out of touch, etc. So when he is demanding an apology, people see him as demanding an apology from a bunch of wealthy elitists who believe they are better than everyone else. They don’t see it as bullying. They see it as him fighting for the underdog against power structures and people that hate them.

This is impossible for most DCUM Democrats to understand, however, because it requires them to admit that they are wrong, and not superior people. It requires them understanding that their adherence to political orthodoxy and fundamentalism has alienated large swaths of the voting population. It requires progressives to admit that they are as religious as the fundamentalist Christians, just on different issues. And that’s never going to happen, so you will remain puzzled that most of the rest of the country doesn’t see this quote the way you do.

DP. I don't get it.

Can you show for me, EXACTLY AND SPECIFICALLY, where Kamala Harris or other major Democratic candidates running in 2024 had "put men in womens sports" as part of their campaign platforms or anywhere in their campaign speeches?

Show me something specific and maybe I'll start to get it. If not, maybe you can start to admit you're the one who's wrong and to acknowledge that the GOP ran a massive smear campaign claiming they did. Bob Casey for example lost because of that smear campaign and NEVER ONCE said a single thing about women in mens sports.

So either provide specific evidence if you want me to "get it" or back off and change course.

The fact that Biden tried to change Title IX to redefine sex as gender identity proof enough.
But, you can also add to that - 203 Democrats voted to allow biological men in women's sports instead of protecting women and girls.

I’m glad you admit you don’t get it. But I will try to break through.

Harris made it really clear that she supported every Biden policy. She said she wouldn’t change a thing. She also never distanced herself from her prior, more radical takes.

Then, in one of the Biden presidency’s last major moves, Biden (or his progressive staffers, because there is an open question as to whether he had mental competency at that point) effectively rewrote Title IX to clear the way entirely for transwomen in women’s sports. Harris never distanced herself, in fact implicitly endorsed it by her enthusiastic endorsement of all Biden’s actions. It was one of his last major presidential moves, and she said she wouldn’t change a thing.

Harris didn’t have to campaign on men in women’s sports. Her actions told voters what she believed. And voters reacted.

Good grief. You must be young and totally clueless.

full-throated
adjective (also full throated)
US /ˌfʊlˈθroʊ.t̬ɪd/ UK /ˌfʊlˈθrəʊ.tɪd/
Add to word list
using all the power of the voice to produce a loud, strong sound:
A full-throated cheer greeted the umpire’s decision.
The cast members combine full-throated singing with strong comic acting.

expressed confidently, with strong feeling and without limits:
Saying “I apologize if someone was offended” is not exactly a full-throated apology.
He gave a full throated endorsement of the president.

Related word

Regardless of what full throated means, the phrase “full throated apology” was the immediate tell that Trump did not write this specific message. Trump writes at a 4th grade level. How do I know? I just asked Grok. Try it.

Unfortunately for Kamala, she was not smart enough to come up with any new ideas on her own, so instead she fully supported all of Bidens disasters, as evidenced by her interview with (Lester Holt?)

So yes, Kamala was fully supportive of Weekend at Joes orders, including allowing Trans men in womens sports, lockerooms, bathrooms etc.

And that paved the way for the mandate for Trump

Biden dropped out, so I don't give a crap about him.
Also, you omit the reason why the Democrats voted the way they did - because less than 10 people does not warrant legislation, that's why. And the bill fizzled out in the Senate anyhow.

So try again. You haven't made a compelling case.

You don't have a specific citation for where she definitively supported transmen in womens sports, bathrooms and locker rooms.

"She supported Joe" isn't enough. Give SPECIFICs.

The State of Maine hasn’t apologized for sh*t. What a shameless liar.

“and never challenge the Federal government again” The craziest part is that he thinks she was wrong. She stated that she would follow state and federal laws, them stated she would see him in court when he tried to push her away from following federal and state laws.

Admit it, you still don't have anything.

Fail. Give a SPECIFIC. Not some broad generalization.
