12 weeks and was told gender (most likely)

Anonymous
I was told the same thing and gave birth to a boy, in 2005. Never had the third trimester gender confirmation, because he was born at 32 weeks. He used a pink stroller for a while

I hope ultrasound technology has improved in 20 years, OP!

So maybe its a 75% change its a girl now instead of 50%, but I'd wait for the 20 week to be more sure.

I mean, colors aren't gendered, and even if they were, you're female....

Why didn't you do that blood test at 10 weeks?? So easy and 100%.

FWIW, they told me my first was a girl. He's a boy and not trans.

OP here.

So I went in today to an extremely experienced radiologist (he’s an expert in telling the genders as early as 12 weeks) and he said that it’s a boy!

What I’m confused about is that there was a very obvious penis in the ultrasound that wasn’t even visible two days ago! Is it possible that it developed that quickly?

Also I just turned 12 weeks today according to him so I was 11w5d when I did the first ultrasound. He said that the OB probably went off the nub theory which points to a girl.

If you care about the gender why aren't you just getting the blood test?

If there is a P then it's obviously a boy.

You might have been told the sex. You don't know anything about the gender.

Why are you getting multiple ultrasounds at 12 weeks to figure out the sex of the baby is that even safe. Just get the blood test?!

There is no “expert at telling the gender at 12 weeks”. What you went to is an out of pocket fetal ultrasound quack shop who advertise that they can tell you the baby’s sex at least 50% of the time.
