School starts at 8:20 but they need to be in the building before that. Traffic is bad around the school. You'd probably want to leave your house at 8.
That’s not too bad, any inkling of when the bus might come by?
Ask your neighbors!
All our neighbors went private.
Are you even sure you get a bus? The walk zone for wl is huge!!
Oh wait I didn’t think about this right.
We are zoned for Yorktown (West of DHMS) , so looking at the map we are just outside WL walk zone — but does that boundary end because it’s the end of the WL boundary not the end of the walk zone? Would the walk zone extend INTO Yorktown PUs??

Google maps says it’s a 1.2M walk to WL.
Omfg you cannot be a legit person. They already submitted their class request for next year. How would you not know what high school your kid is going to?
Well, I mean, I don’t disagree that OP is a little all over the place but there is no need to be rude. A lot of 8th grader still don’t know where they are going to HS. A big price school deadline is Friday; TJ hasn’t come out and that will move all the waitlists all over the country for HB and IB and ATS. Not to mention all the DOGE fired people who are thinking of leaving town. Finally, you have all the people who have taken an IB or ATS or HB slot because, hey, why not which is a lot of people in my neighborhood, and then decide to go to their neighborhood school.
