Where to buy a shower curtain that is not amazon?

NP but for most things that aren’t daily or weekly purchases it’s better to touch and feel it to make sure you’re getting what you need and want.

Proof: I needed to replace a great waffle-textured shower curtain purchased at Bed Bath & Beyond 20 years ago. I have tried to replace it 6 times now via Amazon. Every single supposedly waffle-textured shower curtain is totally flat and smooth with a shiny thread woven in to give the appearance of actual waffle texture in photos.

I’m tired of being swindled by Amazon fakery.

Target - In addition to their linen dept, be sure to look at their designers separate departments (Magnolia and Studio McGee) that will also have shower curtains.

It's a big waste of resources to order 15 shower curtains before you find one that you like. In the days of BBB, you could go into the store, look at 15, pick the one that had the texture/colors/fabric you were looking for instead of relying on photoshopped pictures and a description of a product that does not actually exist. Sure, it might take an hour to get to the store, pick the product, pay for it, and come home, but it also takes a long time to open up 15 boxes, open every package, look at it, then package up the ones you don't want and return them to UPS.

You might be too young to remember when Bed Bath & Beyond was fabulous. They used to have a pretty carefully selected inventory, and for every product there was a good, better and best option. I’ll never forget how liberating it was when one opened in Chelsea back when I was a young adult in NYC. Finally you could get things like nice but affordable picture frames, a pretty soap dish, a quality scrub brush from Germany, etc. without having to go to 10 stores, pay insane UES prices or settle for dollar store level of quality.

Before it became a tacky discount warehouse of candy and nasty smelling candles, BB&B held the perfect niche between K-mart/Target and fancy department stores. RIP, BB&B.
