RIF Plans at US DOT (Transportation)

New political appointee was meeting with people in my agency today questioning whether most of our functions need to be done at all, so that's not good.
They said at a meeting last week that VERA had been approved but they were still waiting on approval for VIST so they weren't announcing it yet. They also announced (maybe the prior week) how many VERA and VIST slots were being requested, DOT wide-- I don't remember the specific numbers but it was 10-15% of the workforce. I wonder if the number of ViST approvals=the number of people who would be targeted in a RIF? |

| Not sure what you mean by # of VSIP = #of people for RIF target. Did they mention when all of this was going to be rolled out? |
