Try University of Richmond. $3.3 billion endowment for fewer than 4,000 students. That means huge financial aid!

Then why is UR’s student body overwhelmingly wealthy?

My child is accounting major at a Va Public (not UVA). all Big4s go deep into the class at her school and from what I can tell the other Va publics too.

For example about 1/4 of Virginia Tech’s ACIS majors go to Big4.

UVA is #36 in Accounting
VT is #48 in Accounting

JMU is not ranked in Accounting but is #114 for Business Programs

Interestingly (not a VA school)... but Loyola MD is also ranked #114 for Business Programs, but is ranked #31 in Accounting

JMU ranked in the top 20 publics by the WSJ for graduate salaries in accounting. VT did not.

I've hired and interviewed both for Big 4 and for a public company (I'm a CPA hiring manager). UVA and W&M are equivalent. Next VT, then GMU and JMU. This is based on interviewing but also in having these grads work for me.

I'm a CPA. Run into a LOT of VT and JMU grads.

Why would anyone think the answer isn’t JMU?

UVA Wise is a 4 year business program. UVA, W&M, and W&L are not.

These are all high pass rates with national average around 50%.
