That your best plans of retirement gets upended due to many-many factors. Do not think that the house you settle into will be your final residence.You will need to change where you live a number of times.

Now, what kind of a relationship you have with your kids really dictates where you settle. This is something that you should discuss with your children and this should be an ongoing discussion.
