How long to visit Jackson hole area for?

If you are planning to do any hikes that may not have a lot of people on the trails, buy bear spray. This goes for Tetons, Yellowstone, Banff and Jasper areas.

Serious question. How does it work? You see a bear, you let it walk by, but use the spray if it starts charging at you? Do these sprays help?
