Get on other platforms like VRBO.

He seems to treat his lieutenants are kind of portable between companies so this isn’t surprising to me.

The real mystery/conspiracy for me is the Tesla stock price! What??? How???? Who is doing that?? There’s something behind the curtain there.

A bunch of selfish billionaires, purported “libertarians” who were just fascists in disguise all along, are happy about turning the US into an oligarchy? In other news, water is wet. F*** this dude and the swasticar he rode in on.

A lot of hosts suck and AirBNB backs them up. Allowing them to refuse refunds during the beginning of Covid or during after major hurricanes and things like that. Allowing them to ghost people on refunds made in accordance with the stated refund policy. It’s just such a crapshoot. No thanks. We just do refundable hotels now. It’s so much more flexible.

I can’t understand why anyone uses AirBnB.

You are playing a role in displacing renters/homeowners which negatively impacts the housing market.

You are gambling with your safety. I know several people whose unit was “robbed” during their stay. It’s very common. I mean, the owner can access the unit and so can anyone he gives access to. So can anyone who stayed there or anyone who knows it’s an Airbnb unit (which is likely to be empty during the day while you sightsee).

You should assume the owner or someone else is taping you. I was surprised to get a call from the owner on the condo landline at a popular beach town at a random time. He asked how I liked the condo—especially a certain item in the unit which I literally had just been commenting on to my husband before the owner called. That was the first and last time we used AirBnB.

With the Trump/Doge affiliation, I hope everyone boycotts.

The hosts need to pivot to some other platform or standalone business or they are COMPLICIT.

Because they're quiet. I cannot handle hotels. Maybe if people were better behaved, but alas.

In Hawaii "the hosts" are often dirtbags who rent in areas not zoned for vacation rentals and thus contribute to housing woes for actual residents. They post tax numbers and customers are fooled.
