I'm in the same boat. We've owned Teslas since 2014 and also have never had any problems with them. We've had every model except the S and currently have two, which we really love. I'd like to get rid of them as well, but I just don't know what alternative EV to look at. The issue is the charging network. We've done a lot of road trips with our Teslas and you just can't beat the convenience of their charging newtwork - nothing else even comes close. I've been looking at the Rivian but I don't want such a big car and the new model R3 is still a few years away. I don't want to go back to a gas car. So I'm stuck.

But in the big picture, I'd still rather have the American-made Tesla than the Chinese-made Polestar or any other Chinese EVs that are going to soon flood our market.

Tesla has factories in China too.And the California tesla workers aren't being treated well. https://finance.yahoo.com/news/tesla-california-workers-allege-were-191121866.html?fr=sycsrp_catchall

Musk, not China, is the bigger immediate threat to America.

I cut off a Tesla in the parking lot yesterday and it was an accident, but I felt less bad when I saw it was a Tesla.

Fed who bought a Tesla 6 years ago. Wish we could get rid of it but we have dropped spending to super low. Like eating ramen low. No way can we afford to sell ours and get another EV.

Just something to keep in mind. Most Tesla owners I know hate musk and feels stuck. Pls don’t judge.

Except Cyber truck owners. Judge them as much as you want.

That may be the case - but I'd still buy American over Chinese-made any day of the week.

Did you dump your index funds also? Many of them hold Tesla.

Also - to get the price of Tesla low, Musk could give a crap about the safety of the workers.
(Where was OSHA)

Google - Fremont Tesla and there are a ton of articles.
In that facility it is fine to use racist slurs and draw swastikas and there are lots of liberal Americans who have purchased the product.

Many other brands now have access to Tesla's supercharger network, at least the version 3 and 4 chargers. This includes GM, Ford, Hyundai, Mercedes, and Rivian, with more coming soon.

Owning a Tesla is like having a target on your back. While the stereotype might be somewhat unjustified, you don’t have to affiliate.

Why do you have to look at something uglier than a garbage truck parked in the driveway next door all day and night? That thing is so ugly it's offensive.

The Tesla Model Y was the 4th best selling vehicle in the US last year, ahead of Honda CR-V, Toyota Camry, and Honda Civic. That means there's a lot of Teslas out there, and I'd bet a lot of them didn't buy it due to Elon-worship.

OSHA has cited Tesla numerous times. It's Googleable.

https://www.kvue.com/article/news/local/tesla-gigafactory-fined-osha-violations/269-520d3af1-0dca-4430-add9-0018d75a64f9#:~:text=AUSTIN%2C%20Texas%20%E2%80%94%20Tesla%20has%20been,the%20Tesla%20facility%20in%20August.

DOGE has harvested DOL data.

OSHA maintains violation databases. If DOGE isn't already evaluating that data, they no doubt will be.

There is only so much a regulatory agency can do within its legal framework. R's have been messing with OSHA since the Contract with America (Gingrich) years in the 1990s.

Sounds like a lot of people now have an unwanted problem. But, that doesn’t change the dynamics of the situation.

Hopefully protesting will get prospective buyers to change their minds and get another electric brand. I have two Teslas, loved them, but now I will never get another. I believe in the value of electric cars, just not giving money to a guy who is doing us all so much damage now
